Here's a brand new way to make a spectacular cake: the "dripping" or "naked cake" decorating technique.

The naked cake is currently very trendy and it looks set to remain so for quite some time, much to my delight. It's called that because of its rustic and unadorned appearance, which highlights the cake itself and its texture.

The drip effect is created with a ganache base that is drizzled around the top edge of the cake, flowing downwards to create a drip-like effect. It's really easy to make and decorates beautifully. This magnificent cake will serve 8-10 people.
